The Secrets of Game Show in Black Ops Cold War

What do the numbers mean? Here's an in-depth look at the Game Show map in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War!

The numbers, Mason. What do they mean?

If you're familiar with that iconic line from Jason Hudson in 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops, you've likely felt a sense of nostalgia with the Game Show Gunfight map in Black Ops Cold War. Taking place on a thematic set of an 80s TV show, Game Show is much more than the solid 2v2 experience that it claims to be.

Dressing Room

The two team spawns in Game Show feature a small, rather unimportant room on their respective side of the outermost lane. On one side is a wardrobe, the other a dressing room. However, if you're spend some time in the dressing room, you may feel that you're being watched by more than just your opponents...

Smashing the mirrors in the dressing room will reveal that your reflection was actually that of a one-way window. Eerily repeating numbers and an interrogation room can be found on the other side, leaving you to wonder what's really going on at this studio.

A few other oddities can be found within the dressing room, including Bubby, the Burger Town mascot, and an encoded message which is directly ripped from Black Ops 3's Der Eisendrache Zombies map.

Main Stage

Hesitantly stepping out of the dressing room and onto the main stage may momentarily restore your sense of comfort, however, focusing on the details of this set will quickly bring back that uncanny feeling. Surely the competition hosted on this game show is nothing to worry about, right?

If you find yourself looking at the player scoreboards on the main stage, you'll realize that the LEDs are actually displaying coordinates. Plotting these values into a map will point to Mount Yamantau, which in the Black Ops universe, is a Russian nuclear facility where the weaponization of Nova-6 is sought.

At this point, you're probably wondering whether What Do The Numbers Mean? is even a real game show to begin with...

Continuing to dig around the main stage area will reveal a set of cards near the camera with a sequence of numbers. If we've learned anything by now, it's that there's surely something more to these values. By simply converting the numbers into letters of the English alphabet, you'll find that the topmost card reads as follows.

Perseus is truth.

Exits

By now your sense of preservation has surely kicked in and you're looking for a way off of this set, right? Head toward the exits near each team spawn, but be sure to check the message boards on your way out.

Various pieces of paper containing several number sequences can be found pinned to these boards for all to see. The only problem is that, even now, we've yet to decrypt what exactly these values decode to.

So once again, we'll ask, what do the numbers mean?
