VCT Game Changers NA: Schedule, format, date and teams

After a long wait, Game Changers is coming back! The competition will feature new faces in the scene, familiar talents, new teams, different rosters and rivalries, as well as promising a fierce competition and a shot at the Championship title. Here's a breakdown of VCT Game Changers NA.

The North American VCT Game Changers will feature multiple series, Series I is set to open registrations on March 15th at 12PM PT and conclude on March 23rd at 7AM.

Each Game Changers series begins with an Open Qualifier. The top eight teams will face off in the Main Event to compete for circuit points and a chance to represent the region at the Game Changers World Championship.

Format

Each series will begin with an Open Qualifier, allowing all aspiring pros and talents to win. The top eight teams from the Open Qualifier will battle it out in the Main Event for circuit points and a chance for a spot in the Game Changers World Championship. The teams will follow in a GSL Group format, the top eight will proceed to the Main Event where the format will change to a double-elimination bracket with all matches in a Best Of Three except the Lower Finals and Grand Finals which will be a Best Of Five.

Circuit Points Distribution

The points' distribution will be as follows:

1st : 80 Points
2nd : 60 Points
3rd : 50 Points
4th : 40 Points
5th - 6th : 30 Points
7th - 8th : 20 Points
9th - 16th : 10 Points

Total : 410 Points.

Prize Pool

Teams will compete for a grand prize of $50.000 and a spot at the Game Changers World Championship.
