Valorant has introduced a new agent in Episode 7 Act 1. Her name is Deadlock, and she is a Sentinel who can use her nanowire technology to create barriers, sensors, grenades and cocoons that can hinder the enemy team.

How to Unlock Deadlock with VP

One of the easiest ways to unlock Deadlock in Valorant is to purchase her with VP (Valorant Points), the premium currency of the game. During her 28-day recruitment event, you can buy her for 1000 VP, which is equivalent to $10 USD.

This will instantly unlock her and let you play with her in any mode. However, this option is only available for a limited time, so if you want to get her with VP, you need to act fast.

How to Unlock Deadlock with XP

Another way to unlock Deadlock in Valorant is to earn her with XP (Experience Points), the currency that you get by playing matches and completing daily and weekly tasks. You need to farm 200,000 XP to unlock her, which is no easy feat.

It’s gonna take a lot of games to earn her with XP, maybe 35 or something, but it depends on how well you do. You earn 100 XP for playing a round and 200 XP for winning a round, and there’s also some extra XP for winning the first game of the day and doing some challenges. It’s not very fun, but it’s cheaper than buying her with VP.

How to Unlock Deadlock with Xbox Game Pass

The third way to unlock Deadlock in Valorant is to get her for free if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Xbox Game Pass is a service that gives you access to hundreds of games on Xbox and PC for a monthly fee.

If you link your Xbox Game Pass account to your Riot account, you will get instant access to every agent in Valorant, including Deadlock. This is a great deal if you already have or plan to get an Xbox Game Pass subscription, as it will also let you play other games like Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2.

How to Unlock Deadlock with Kingdom Points

You have another option to unlock Deadlock with 8,000 Kingdom Credits after her Recruitment Event is done. Kingdom Credits are a new currency that you don’t have to pay for. You just play matches and complete Dailies to get them. But you can’t use this option until the Recruitment Event ends, so it’s your last resort.

Don’t forget that your Kingdom Credits limit is 10,000, so spend them on something. Moreover, Riot has rewarded you with 5,000 Kingdom Credits for the start of Episode 7 Act 1, and you only have to make 3,000 Kingdom Credits on your own to unlock Deadlock.
