The APAC VCT team didn't have much success last year, exiting early in VCT LOCK//IN after a 0-2 loss to LOUD and not qualifying for an international event such as Masters or Champions. They went 6-3 in the Regular Season of the VCT Pacific League, which was good enough to qualify for the Playoffs, but they bowed out in fourth place, after losing to T1. They tried their luck again in the LCQ, but lost in the Lower Bracket Final.
After the conclusion of the season, Gen.G released nearly all of its players except for Meteor and vowed to rebuild for hopes of better placements in the upcoming year. So far, they have only added South Korean player t3xture, who hails from Global Esports. Gen.G also signed new Head Coach HSK on October 10th. The South Korean has previously coached for DetonatioN FocusMe.
