Call of Duty Website Leaks Modern Warfare Season 2 Details

Just ahead of its official announcement, it appears that the Call of Duty website has leaked many details for the upcoming Season of Modern Warfare. Included in this information is our first look at a new Operator, Ghost, as well as two new weapons, and a few of the cosmetic items included in the Season 2 Battle Pass.

Battle Pass

Unlock up to 100 Tiers of exciting new content and earn up to 1,300 Call of Duty Points, as well as instantly unlock Ghost, the legendary Special Forces Operator.

Season 2 features a brand-new Battle Pass with 100 Tiers of loot, just as did the Season 1 Battle Pass. It will be available for purchase for 1,000 COD Points, or 2,400 COD Points if you purchase the Battle Pass Bundle which also includes 20 Tier Skips.

Players who've completed the Season 1 Battle Pass have earned back 1,300 COD Points from its Tiers - meaning that as long as you level up your first Battle Pass, you'll get the subsequent ones for free. This is also the case for the Season 2 Battle Pass, so be sure to complete your Season 2 Battle Pass for a free Season 3 Battle Pass!

New Operator: Ghost

Wreak havoc as Ghost, the iconic and intimidating Special Forces Operator – available instantly by purchasing the Battle Pass.

Ghost, the iconic character from Modern Warfare 2, returns in Modern Warfare - reimagined and available instantly in Multiplayer with purchase of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

It's not yet known whether there will be a secondary Operator available this Season, as there was with Nikto in Season 1. Though if there is, they're likely to be saved for the mid-season update.

New Base weapons

Included in the Season 2 Battle Pass are two new base weapons, available to all players via the Free Tiers. The exact Tiers for these weapons is not yet known at the time of writing, but in Season 1, the RAM-7 and Holger-26 were available at Tiers 31 and 15, respectively.

Maps

In the short promotional video which can also be found on the Season 2 page, a map which resembles Rust can be seen in the background. This aligns with the rumors of the classic Modern Warfare 2 map returning which surfaced all the way back during the Multiplayer Beta.

Shortly after this page went live, Content Creators who were given an interactive card at the Modern Warfare Reveal Event found that upon scanning, the card had been updated to display a birds-eye view of Rust - confirming that it will in fact return in Season 2.

Cosmetics

As we'd expect from the Battle Pass, cosmetic items such as Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins will be available to earn throughout the Tiers. This leak gives us our first look at a few of these items.
