Competitive

In the past week, we have received two unexpected announcements, each carrying a distinct emotional resonance for the competitive scene within their respective regions. One announcement brims with excitement and optimism, while the other engenders a multitude of uncertainties. The former revolves around Eomzo, who has now officially joined the roster of Elite Esports, injecting newfound enthusiasm and confidence going into the FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals. Conversely, the latter pertains to Andilex, who has declared his departure from Falcons Esports, leaving behind a trail of lingering questions.

Over the past weekend, the FNCS Major 3 Week 3 unfolded – the final week leading up to the FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals. Across all regions, numerous players left us astonished. For instance, Queasy and Veno, winners of the FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals, failed to secure a spot in these Grand Finals. Similarly, JannisZ, who had qualified for the Grand Finals 16 times in a row, faced disqualification this time. Notably, Archie, a renowned content creator in the scene, successfully clinched a spot in the Grand Finals, igniting the dreams of thousands of fans. Amidst these events, Fortnite made the noteworthy move of removing and subsequently reinstating the Siphon mechanic – not just once, but twice.

This is one of the most remarkable plays from the tournament, executed by the European winners themselves – the fresh duo consisting of Pinq and Wave Vico, who secured victory in the solo RedBull Contested event. In Europe, the victor held a lead of over 50 points compared to the second position – a distinction not seen in any other region. This week showcased intense competition, and the list of winners is presented below for your perusal.
