Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, has revealed that they are lifting the region lock for all Fortnite tournaments, with the exception of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS).
This change takes effect immediately, allowing players in ongoing region-locked events to now compete in multiple regions. For instance, European players can now participate in North American events, and North American players can join European tournaments.

Effective now (apart from FNCS) we will be removing region lock from all tournaments.
This also applies to this season's ongoing tournaments. If you previously played in one region for an event, you can now play in other regions in that event.
Previously, Epic Games enforced a strict policy where players could only compete in tournaments within a single region. Under the old rules, a player participating in the North American Victory Cup could not compete in the European Victory Cup. With the new policy, players can now enter the same tournament in different regions.
This change also benefits players who initially created their accounts in one region, such as Asia, but now wish to compete in another region.
Epic Games did not provide a detailed explanation for this decision, but it is expected to give players more chances to compete and possibly increase their earnings.
On Twitter, the unexpected announcement has made players very happy, sparking discussions about who will be the first player to earn money in all regions by playing countless hours in a row. What do you think? Let us know on our Twitter!
