'Maxis Potential' Main Quest Guide for Firebase Z in Black Ops Cold War Zombies

Save Maxis. Here's how to complete the Main Quest in Firebase Z in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies casts players into Firebase Z, Omega's Vietnam base, with the ever-growing threat of an undead horde. At its core, player's are tasked with one goal - survive; however, the most experienced of Requiem agents are also tasked with saving Samantha Maxis and uncovering the secrets of the Omega Group hidden within the facility.

Maxis Potential serves as the Main Easter Egg of Firebase Z. The rewards for completing it are as follows...

Firebase Z Ending Cinematic Cutscene - Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies

Congratulations to VisionOG - the first player to complete the Main Quest! The hunt began on Friday, February 5th at 10AM PT and was completed on the same day at ~12:05PM PT, a total completion time of roughly two hours.

Maxis Potential

Prerequisites

Each of the following requirements must be met prior to various stages of the Main Quest in order to progress. Keep this in mind and fulfill these requirements alongside the Main Quest.

Obtain Ravenov ID Badge

In the Atrium, speak with Ravenov to begin the Main Quest. Once the Aether Reactors are active, navigate to Mission Control and speak with Dr. Peck. Return to the Atrium and speak with Ravenov once again to be given an ID Badge.

Collect the Serum Compounds

Using Ravenov's ID Badge, locate and interact with three Lockers, found in the following locations, to reveal the Compounds. Interact with each Compound to collect it.

Attach the Agent Delivery System

Once each Compound has been collected, navigate to the Field Hospital and interact with the Chemical Mixer to start combining Compounds. This will spawn several Hellhounds which will now need to be killed.

Return to the Chemical Mixer and interact once again to transfer to Gas Dispersal Device. The Agent Deliver System can now be obtained at this location.

Lastly, navigate to the OPC and interact with the Air Conditioner to attach the Agent Delivery System. This will disperse the Serum into Dr. Peck's room in Mission Control, speak with him once again to progress the quest.

Obtain the Essence Trap

Navigate to the Data Center and interact with the Memory Transference Station to unlock it. This will dispense four Essence Traps, equip one to replace your current Tactical Equipment slot.

Transfer the Mimic Memories

Search throughout the map for Mimics which are disguised as loot on the ground, approach them to cause the Mimic to reveal itself. Next, damage the Mimic until its health is nearly depleted, then throw an Essence Trap on the ground and capture the Mimic once it is within a close proximity.

With the Mimic captured, return to the Data Center and interact with the Memory Transference Station to insert the Essence Trap and play a narrative sequence. Repeat this process until a Floppy Disk is dispensed from the machine.

Obtain the Aethermeter

Navigate to the Planning Offices and interact with the Quantum Main Frame to insert the Floppy Disk. The door to the OPC will then open, enter it to spawn an Dimensional Breach. Once the Omega PA System states that stabilization is required, return to Dr. Peck in Mission Control and speak with him.

Once Dr. Peck's narrative is complete, Ravenov will provide a code to the Locker left of Dr. Peck's office. Interact with this Locker to enter the code and reveal the Aethermeter.

Obtain the Shovel

Navigate to Scorched Defense, locate and collect the Shovel found in the left-side bunker.

Obtain the Aether Crystals

Locate and dig three Aether Containers from the following locations. Once each container is dug up, you will need to complete a challenge pertaining to that specific location to collect its Aether Crystal.

Open Lot

Dig the Aether Container near the window to the Planning Offices. Once dug up, several containers will spawn in the surrounding area. Closely examine each container until the one which does not contain any black particles inside of it is found, interact with it to collect the Aether Crystal.

If the incorrect Aether Container is chosen, several Mimics will spawn and you must progress to the next round to attempt this step again.

Jungle Defense

Dig the Aether Container near the end of Jungle Defense. Once dug up, a dome will be placed around the area and enemies will begin to spawn. Survive until the dome closes, then interact with container to collect the Aether Crystal.

Barracks

To complete this step, you will need to have obtained the RAI K-84.

Dig the Aether Container near the Field Hospital at the Barracks. Once dug up, the container will fly to a nearby location and will continue to do this if approached. Use the alternate fire mode of the RAI K-84 on the Aether Container to prevent it from moving, then quickly collect the Aether Crystal.

Stabilize the Breach

Navigate to each of the three Aether Reactors, found in the following locations, and interact to insert the Aether Crystals. Then return to the OPC to begin a narrative sequence.

Realign the Satellite Dish

WARNING: Upon completing this step, you will be forcefully entered into the Boss Fight.

Navigate to the Planning Offices and interact with the Computer to realign the Satellite Dish.

Position the marker on top of each of the yellow dots on the screen to reveal information about the Satellite in the bottom-right of the screen. Locate the Satellite which is owned by Requiem, as indicated by the question mark. Then press the interact button to confirm the alignment.

Finally, return to the OPC and interact with the Terminal to begin a cinematic.

Defeat Orda

Once the cinematic completes, you will be taken to the Courtyard where Orda will spawn.

To defeat Orda, simply deal damage to it until its health bar is entirely depleted. Its critical point is the hole where a head would be found, and its special attacks include a close-range slam and longe-range parasites.

Once Orda is killed, the ending cinematic will begin!
