Leaked Key Art Reveals Season Six of Black Ops Cold War

Get a first look at the upcoming Operator, Alex Mason, in Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

As Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone approaches, the teams at Activision and Treyarch have begun to deploy the title updates to first party platforms in preparation. Because of this, fans have managed to extract the key art for the upcoming content update from Sony's PlayStation back-end services.

In this newly-discovered key art, we get our first look at Alex Mason, a new Operator for Black Ops Cold War returning from the original Black Ops release in 2010. Alternate showcases of Mason are expected to release in the coming days as well.

Season Six

Season Six of both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is expected to begin on Wednesday, October 6th at 9PM PT.

Title updates for Treyarch's title typically arrived 24 hours prior, with the Battle Royale title receiving its updates at the start of the new Season. Patch notes and other information regarding the title updates, including download size, will be revealed at a later date. Currently, only the version numbers for the PlayStation platforms are known.

  • PlayStation 5: 01.023.000
  • PlayStation 4: 01.24

Alex Mason

In the Season Six key art, we get our first look at an all-new style for Mason following his appearance in the Black Ops Cold War Campaign. As the key art for previous Seasons have featured the latest Operator at Tier 0 of the Battle Pass, it can be assumed that Mason will also be available via this progressional feature for the time being.

Looking beyond Season Six, it's unclear what Treyarch has planned for their 2020 release. If further content updates are to release once Season Six has come to an end, it's likely that Mason will be featured in a Bundle that can be purchased for instant access to the Operator and his alternative style outside of the Battle Pass.

Adler's been off-grid working on something in Verdansk. We have no idea what he's been doing. We'll have to pull 'em in.

Go find Mason. He knows what has to be done.

Zombies

In recent days, Treyarch has released several teasers on Twitter giving Zombies fans a hunt of what's to come in the final round-based Zombies map of Black Ops Cold War once Season Six releases next week. Teasers have ranged from a first look at an all-new enemy type, to suggestions of returning characters, and more.

A reveal trailer for the experience is expected to release on Tuesday, September 28th.
