Valorant: A Beginner's Guide!

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games, for Windows. In Valorant, depending on which side you are on, there are different objectives of the game. In a game, there are 13 rounds to attack and defend your side using sharp gunplay and tactical abilities. Each team has five people, and the first team to 7 points wins the game.

If you are on the attacking side, your goal is to plant a spike, or a bomb, on the other teams side. It takes 45 seconds for the spike to detonate, and the goal of the defending team, is to prevent that from happening. You can either kill the other team or disarm the spike. There are dozens of different maps in Valorant, and you should get to learn each one!

Now that you are in a game, first there is a Buy Phase where you will have the change to buy weapons for that round. You will also be able to see your abilities. If you are an attacker, your goal is to plant the spike and be able to survive until it detonates. If you are a defender, there are a few ways to win: Kill all attackers, run them out of time, or defuse the planted spike. Remmebr, first to seven wins!

In Valorant, you have access to agents. The five agents anyone is able to use are: Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage, and Sova. Each agent has its own unique abilities they can use. You will have to try out different agent to see which suits you the best. There are also different roles assigned by the game:

Controllers are experts in slicing up dangerous territory to set their team up for a win.

Duelists are self-sufficient fraggers who their team expects to get kills and seek engagement first.

Initiators challenge angels by setting up their team to enter contested ground and push defenders away.

Sentinela are defensive expers who can lock down areas and watch blanks, both on the attacking on defending side.
