PUBG: Battlegrounds Announces New Blizzard Zone With New Update

PUBG: Battlegrounds is calling on mother nature in its latest update, 21.2.

Update 21.2 has a variety of Live Server fixes:

• Fixed the issue where the Secret Room Key was unable to open Secret Rooms in Taego and Paramo. Secret Room Keys are now available again on every mode.
• Fixed the untranslated Contraband Crate names for Colored Smoke Grenades in French.
• (PC) Fixed the typo in Simplified Chinese for Taego’s map selection description.

These changes come as well as making Vikendi no longer a "Featured Map" and adding it to the Normal Match Pool with an increased rate of 40% so players will be more likely to land there more often. This is not the only change Vikendi will have.

Vikendi, in all its snowy glory, will now have a severe snowstorm that is intented to numb your senses. While in the Blizzard Zone you will move slower, take constant damge, your sight and hearing will be hindered and your vehicle will be harder to control.

When Activated the Blizzard Zone will show up on the map and will have its own Kill Messages if players fall victim to it.

Vakendi will also feature multidrops that were previously only found in Taego and Vikendi exclusive road signs that help navigate you through the snow around the map.

Update 21.2 will also bring about more reapir kits to help aid players mid match.

Helmet Repair Kit

• Repairs a helmet to full health.

Armor Repair Kit

• Repairs armor to full health.

Mechanic’s Toolbox

• Repairs 500 health for vehicles.
• Can not repair vehicle tires.
• Can repair every type of vehicle.
• However, fully-drowned vehicles can not be repaired.
• Can only be used while inside the vehicle.
• Can not be used while driving.
• Can not be used when holding your breath.
• More than one player can simultaneously repair a single vehicle.
• However, repairs will be instantly canceled once the vehicle is fully repaired.

Sanhok will also recieve the following changes:

Ascenders have been added to Cave and rock mountains.

• Ascender Attachments will provided as starting items.
• An additional bridge connecting the northwest island and east island (Bootcamp) has been added.

An additional bridge connecting the northwest island and southwest island (Ruins) has been added.

• Made the area’s water deeper to allow you to swim across.

• Sanhok themed billboards have been added throughout the map.
• Sand terrain has been added to certain areas for a more convenient trek.
• Added even more general cover such as boulders and trees
• Terrain and foliage texture have been generally improved.
• As we say goodbye to the end-of-year holidays, LINE FRIENDS decorations also take their leave from Paradise Resort.
