The Fortnite Chapter 5 Release Date Just Got Leaked

A new map every year? We could get used to this!

According to recent leaks, the Fortnite Chapter 5 release date is already locked in for later this year. Here’s what we know.

It’s an exciting time to be a Fortnite fan! A dedicated Ranked Mode is finally here, we’ve got huge collabs dropping every other day, and UEFN is seeing creators push the boundaries of what’s possible in-game. But there’s more…

When Does Fortnite Chapter 4 End?

Fortnite dataminer @NotJulesDev has claimed that Chapter 5 will launch on November 30, 2023. This means that Chapter 4 will only have four seasons in total.

Of course, this isn’t confirmed, but @NotJulesDev has been right about similar things in the past. Even if this is Epic’s plan, the exact date could well end up changing slightly closer to the time.

We’ve also had a leak regarding a possible end-of-chapter live event. Codenamed “Durian”, the event countdown is scheduled to begin on November 21 – again this lines up well with the Chapter 5 release date, as these countdowns tend to last a week and then there would likely be an extended downtime.

These are all the details we have for now. However, it’s exciting to think that Epic seems to be moving towards a one Fortnite Chapter per year model.

New Fortnite Map Coming Soon

New map coming in Fortnite Chapter 5

With a fresh chapter comes a new Fortnite map. We can expect the Battle Royale Island to transform completely, or else we will end up on a different planet altogether.

It generally also means a full loot pool overhaul, more unique mechanics, and original gameplay features like Reality Augments.

Keep an eye on tracker.gg/checkpoint for more information and leaks over the next few months as Chapter 5 draws closer.
