XDefiant - How to Play the Libertad Faction

Masters of improvised medical assistance.

Far Cry 6's Libertad is one of several featured Factions in Ubisoft's crossover shooter XDefiant. Alongside Splinter Cell's Echelon and The Division's Cleaners, you'll be able to choose the freedom fighters of the Far Cry series. If you're jumping into XDefiant, here's how to play the healer Faction Libertad.

Libertad Faction

The Libertad is known for its ability to provide healing whenever necessary. Team members are trained to use items that repair wounds quickly. Each ability is linked to some form of healing, making the Libertad capable fighters that continuously get back on their feet.

Libertad Abilities

If you enjoy playing healers in games, then this Faction is for you. Each member carries one of the following items they can use in a firefight. The first is a throwable container that heals teammates in an area, while the second is a remedy that sends out a burst of healing for yourself and your allies.

  • BioVida Boost. A fortifying wave boosts total health and regen for you and nearby allies.
  • El Remedio. Launch a revitalizing gas canister that heals friendlies until destroyed or canceled.

BioVida Boost is a quick healing ability that acts like a syringe for multiple teammates. Activating it will restore all of the health of yourself and your allies in an area of effect. If you're in a bind, use the boost to ensure everyone stays alive long enough to regroup or take down the enemy. Just be sure you're close enough to your fellow squad members.

El Remedio is slower but lasts longer. You'll throw a gas bottle that sprays green smoke in a wide area. Any ally that enters the location will be healed as long as the canister remains. It's handy if you're all taking cover in an area together or working to capture a zone.

Libertad's Ultra ability is Médico Supremo. It summons a backpack that works in tandem to increase the effectiveness of your passive trait Espíritu de Libertad. You'll gain a large amount of health and boost your overall healing for a short amount of time.

With members of the Libertad focused on healing, they'll want to be near their allies. This makes them quite versatile in what weapon works best for them. Choosing weapons designed for close range is a good idea if you're working to capture a zone or take down a member of the Cleaners Faction. Whereas, once you control the zone and need to defend it, you'll want to grab a long-ranged weapon such as a sniper or marksmen loadout.
