Xbox Head Phil Spencer Announces New Partnership With EE on Twitter

What do you think their next acquisition is going to be?

Microsoft's bid to acquire Activision Blizzard has taken another step forward with the announcement of a new 10-year partnership with mobile and internet service provider EE. This latest commitment was revealed by Xbox head Phil Spencer on Twitter, where he stated that Microsoft and EE were "expanding [their] partnership".

The partnership will see Xbox and Activision Blizzard PC games offered to EE customers, should the buyout be approved by regulators. Spencer said, "We are committed to bring more games to more people, however they choose to play," but did not provide any further details on how the partnership would be presented to customers.

Microsoft and EE already have an existing partnership, which makes this commitment an extension of their current offering. In addition to this, Microsoft has previously announced two other 10-year partnerships with cloud gaming platform Boosteroid and cloud streaming company Ubitus, as part of its effort to ensure a smooth acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft has also entered into deals with both Nvidia GeForce Now and Nintendo for access to Call of Duty. However, all of these commitments are contingent on the regulators approving Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
