Have you ever wondered where the zombies come from whenever you play the mode in your favorite Call of Duty game? The latest developer blog for the upcoming Modern Warfare III discusses the gruesome and heavy origin of where the zombies came from.
Four bodies were discovered during a nighttime raid on an unknown location. Several military men found two vials filled with a strange vial that their leader, later found to be Viktor Zakhaev, was very pleased to have found. Fast forward some time later, and an alarm has been raised and local police where the raid was supposed to have taken place have now been notified. As this happens, one of the vials hits the ground and from it, a large cloud envelops the streets and transforms the locals into bloodthirsty zombies.
From the terror comes one positive thing: this is a power that Zakhaev now realizes he wields. Of course, Soap and Kate Laswell find out of the affair and delve into the issue, finding out about the horror that has been unleashed.
The Modern Warfare III iteration of zombies gives players the chances to come face to face with both the alive and the undead. This mode will be available to play upon release and will combine everything between the map features and systems of the Modern Warfare and Treyarch's zombies.
Preordering the game will give you the Zombie Ghost Operator skin to use on September 27 in Modern Warfare II, Call of Duty: Warzone and later in Modern Warfare III when it launches.
