Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Trailer Reveals Makarov & More

Activision release a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer with Makarov and gameplay. They also answered some common doubts.

After releasing the global launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Activision have dropped another bomb with a trailer revealing Vladimir Makarov. A familiar antagonist from previous MW games, Makarov will stand as the main enemy against Captain Price.

In the trailer, we see Makarov get a new tattoo and some gameplay clips. Swimming pool underwater explosion and plan crash wreckage all seem to justify the COD vibes. Price concluded the video by declaring Makarov as his next target.

What's Coming with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The upcoming Modern Warfare 3 will include a significant amount of content transferred from previous Modern Warfare games, including weapons and other assets. The weapons and other assets from previous Modern Warfare games will combine, creating an extensive arsenal selection available from the game’s launch. Some of the other things include cosmetic items, Bundles, Operators, rewards, and unlocks players had within the game.

Exceptions to Carry Forwards

Certain content may not be accessible in Modern Warfare III if there are variations in the gameplay. For instance, if a specific game mode in MW III lacks the Tactical Amphibious Vehicle or certain Tactical or Lethal Equipment that were present in MW II, any unlocked Skins for these items in MW II won’t be retained in MW III. Also, Wartracks (music) from MW II will not carry over to MW III.

Integration and Progression in Call of Duty: Warzone

The launch of Modern Warfare III brings a merger of content into Call of Duty: Warzone at Season 01’s start, preserving the previous Modern Warfare II content.

Operators Continuity

Operators and their Skins from Modern Warfare II will carry over to Modern Warfare III.

Weapons, Attachments, and Camos

All Modern Warfare II weapons and Blueprints will be accessible in Modern Warfare III upon completing associated challenges. Attachments from Modern Warfare II will transfer to Modern Warfare III weapons, as long as they're compatible.

Weapon Camos, including Mastery and event-specific ones, will also carry over to Modern Warfare III. However, cross-use of Camos between the two games is not possible.

Weapon Progression and Skins

Weapon progression will be in sync between Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III, allowing smooth updates across both games.

Tactical or Lethal Weapons with skins, such as the "Wumpa Grenade," will carry forward to Modern Warfare III if they are available for use in MW III.

Benefits of Owning Modern Warfare II

Players who own Modern Warfare II will fully prepare their weaponry for Modern Warfare III, saving time by leveling up and unlocking content.

Cosmetics and Content Transfer

Weapon Charms, Stickers, Emblems, and Loading Screens will move between games. Also, Vehicle Skins, Wartracks, and Calling Cards are generally transferable, with some exceptions based on game changes.

No Backward Transfer

Obviously, users can't use Modern Warfare III content in Modern Warfare II.

That concludes everything you need to know about the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game coming on November 10, 2023.
