Day 7 and the first day of the Omega Bracket in the VCT LOCK//IN tournament took place today and here's a recap of all the action!
Team Secret 2-0 Team Liquid
The first matchup of the Omega Bracket was between Team Secret and Team Liquid. Everyone expected Team Liquid to win, but that's not what happened at all. Team Secret started the first map, which was Icebox, extremely strong by taking a 10-2 lead after the first half. They continued to hold their ground in the second half, winning the map with a final score of 13-8.
The second map, which was Fracture, started off very similar to the first. Team Secret again to everyone's surprise took a big lead in the first half, this time with a score of 9-3. Team Liquid initially bounced back in the second half by winning four rounds straight, but unfortunately their luck ended there, as Team Secret won four straight themselves to win the map 13-7.
Leading Team Secret was invy, who had a KDA of 39-26-18 through both maps. Another big reason they won was because of 33-year-old JessieVash's spectacular performance, with a whopping ACS of 273. On Team Liquid's side, leading them in stats was nAts, who is often regarded as one of the best players in Europe. He had a KDA of 40-30-13 through both maps, but unfortunately it wasn't enough for his team to get the win.
With the win, this means that Team Secret now advance to the Quarterfinals of the Omega Group. Their next matchup comes against NAVI on February 25th. With the loss, this unfortunately means that Team Liquid are now eliminated from the tournament and sent home. Another team from EMEA gone.

Natus Vincere (NAVI) 2-0 KRU Esports
The second matchup of the day was between NAVI and KRU Esports. NAVI started the series strong, taking a 9-3 lead after the first half of the first map, which was Ascent. KRU won the first two rounds in the second half, slightly narrowing the lead, but NAVI answered back by winning four straight rounds to win the map with a final score of 13-5.
The second map, Lotus, was an interesting one. NAVI won the first two rounds to open the match, but then KRU won nine of the next ten rounds to go up by a score of 9-3 after the first half. However, NAVI themselves won ten out of eleven rounds in the second half to complete the comeback after being down 9-3. The final score of the game was 13-10.
Leading NAVI was Zyppan, who had a KDA of 44-24-20 through both maps. Another big factor for NAVI was 33-year-old IGL ANGE1, who came up really clutch in both maps. Leading KRU were xand and DaveeyS. The former had a KDA of 25-34-15 through both maps and the latter had a KDA of 27-33-5 through both maps as well.
With the win, NAVI advance to the Quarterfinals of the Omega Group where they will face off against Team Secret on February 25th. With the loss, this means that KRU Esports are eliminated from the tournament and sent home.

Leviatan 2-0 ZETA DIVISION
The third and final matchup of the day was between Leviatan and ZETA DIVISION. Leviatan opened the matchup extremely strong by taking a 10-2 lead in the first half of the first map, which was Ascent. ZETA then won the first two rounds in the second half, but unfortunately, they ran out of luck after that. Leviatan then won the next three rounds to win with a final score of 13-4.
The second map, which was Pearl, was a lot closer than the first one. After the first half, things were tied at 6-6. Leviatan started the second half extremely hot, winning five straight rounds to go up with a score of 11-6. However, ZETA DIVISION rebounded and won four rounds straight to come within one round shy of Leviatan, but then Leviatan won two more rounds to win the game. The final score was 13-11.
Leading Leviatan was Mazino, who had a KDA of 40-21-23 through both maps. Incredible stuff from the Controller player. Leading ZETA DIVISION in kills was Dep, who had 26 through both maps.
With the win, this means that Leviatan advance to the Quarterfinals of the Omega Group. Their next matchup will be on February 25th against the winner of the Team Vitality vs Global Esports matchup, which will take place on February 23rd. With the loss, ZETA DIVISION are eliminated from the tournament due to the single-elimination format.
