Since the launch of the Valorant closed beta, many people have found themselves struggling with the core mechanics of the game. Although skill-based matchmaking does its best to put you up against enemies in a similar position, it isn’t a real solution.
The issue is that with each player getting just one life per round, you don’t get much of a chance to improve. If you are at the very “beginner level” of skill, you may well find yourself dying over and over without any hope of getting better.
At the moment, the best thing you can do if you are struggling is head into Valorant’s practice mode. Here you can train your aim against A.I. controller bots, and try out all the different weapons and Agents.
Suggestion: FFA Deathmatch mode so we can actually practice. from r/VALORANT
Whilst practice mode is certainly helpful, it doesn’t quite prepare you for the real thing. This is why fans are calling for Riot to add a respawn playlist to the game. A Free-for-all or Team Deathmatch mode would give players the chance to work on their shot, without worrying about having to wait around for ages if they are killed.
There is undoubtedly a lot of demand for this addition, however, it is important to remember that we are still in the early stages of closed beta. The purpose of this beta is for Riot to test the game, fix any bugs and get it ready for release. It is very possible that they could stick to the main game mode for now, but introduce more options after launch.
