Upon launch, Riot Games confirmed that Valorant content will follow a specific structure. Each Episode, starting with Episode 1: Ignition, will comprise multiple smaller seasons, or Acts, each bringing a new Battlepass and gameplay changes.
Discussing details of the first ever Valorant Battlepass, Game Designer David “Milkcow” Cole explained that each Act would last around two months. Well, now we may have some more specific timings for the coming seasons.
Reddit user and Valorant leaker u/Mang0Leaks delved into the game files and managed to uncover the current schedule.
Episode 1 Season Run Dates:
Act 1: June 1st– August 4th
Act 2: August 4th– October 13th
Act 3: October 13th– January 12th (2021)
These dates fit perfectly with the idea of seasons being roughly two months long, with Act 3 lasting a bit longer to cover the holiday period.
With u/Mang0Leaks findings going no further than Act 3, it seems likely that mid-January could spell the beginning of Episode 2. It will be exciting to see how often new Agents and maps are introduced as we play through each season and how the game evolves.
Of course, these dates have not been officially confirmed and are subject to change. However, it is interesting to have at least a notion of what the Valorant content roadmap may look like.
