Simple trick to use Shorty and Classic on eco-rounds

The Valorant community are constantly looking for new ways to gain even the slightest advantage over their enemies.

One Reddit user by the name of u/italiangreenbeans has shared a useful strategy to double up on weapons.

Many players choose to use the Shorty when saving as you can sit in a corner and surprise your opponent for an easy pick. The issue with this Shotgun though is that you can only shoot twice before having to reload.

Next time, rather than getting quickly traded whilst you rush to reload, try this trick:

Before the round starts buy your Shorty as usual. Then drop it and grab your Classic instead; this prevents the pistol from despawning. Once the round begins, you are able to pick the Shorty back up but the Classic won’t go anywhere.

Shorty Tip: drop your shorty and pick back up your classic until the round starts from r/VALORANT

Fellow Redditors mentioned that they also use the same method to use two primary weapons, such as a Sniper and a Rifle. Whilst this is undoubtedly powerful, in many situations you would be better off buying for teammates.

Anyway, give it a go and see if you can secure a few bonus eco-rounds. The most important thing to remember is to keep the Classic in hand as this is the only gun that will disappear if you are not holding it at the start of the round.
