“I am not just your healer!” shouted Sage as she took out the two remaining enemies in Riot’s most recent Agent teaser footage. Representing China, Sage’s abilities focus around protecting herself and her teammates, but it’s clear that this character still packs a punch.
People loved the look of the Barrier Orb ability. This allows Sage to conjure a large, solid wall, and block off parts of the map. It is exciting to imagine the types of plays that pros will be able to pull off once they get their hands on this.

The video did not feature Sage’s ultimate ability, Resurrection. As you probably guessed by the name, this allows her to revive a fallen teammate, bringing them back with full health. This move is balanced out by the fact that players will spawn back in without armour and will need to pick their weapon back up.
Outside of abilities, some of the Valorant community were concerned about the seeming lack of recoil when shooting the pistol. With aim being undoubtedly the most important mechanic to master in a game like this, recoil is key to creating a healthy skill gap. Until we get an opportunity to play the game, it’s hard to tell just how the recoil will work, so it’s probably not worth worrying about too much.
With Valorant confirmed to launch with five free-to-play Agents, it is likely that next week will be the final character reveal teaser. This is predicted to showcase Jett. After this we may finally see the release of at least a closed beta, and get a whole lot more content to enjoy.
