Project V: The New Battle Royale Being Built by Ninja, Nickmercs, TimTheTatman, SypherPK & CouRageJD

It’s Being Created Inside Unreal Editor for Fortnite

Project V is an upcoming Battle Royale powered by UEFN, with some of the biggest names in gaming at the helm.

In a joint announcement on Friday, SypherPK, Ninja, Nickmercs, TimTheTatman, and CouRageJD revealed that they are collaborating on a new Battle Royale title, currently codenamed “Project V”.

The game will be built using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) – an application released by Epic Games last month to allow creators to design full games and experiences inside of Fortnite. It will be developed by SypherPK’s own company, SuperJoy Studios.

So what will Project V look like? Well, that’s the most exciting part. Sypher and co want community feedback to be central, and will be listening intently to players and holding regular votes to help make key decisions.

“With custom weapons, a full scale map, fluid movement and unique mechanics in our sights, we have ambitious plans to build something really unique” explained the team.

Considering the combined following of these creators, it won’t be hard to get people to try Project V. If they can make something different, fun to play, and keep their promise of putting the community first, it could well become the next big thing in the Battle Royale space.

Don't expect to be hopping into a match too soon though. The Project V release is currently slated for 2024.

You can follow @ProjectV on Twitter for updates and to have your say on potential features. Plus, SuperJoy Studios is currently hiring, so there may even be a more hands-on role for you.
