The Japanese VALORANT Challengers League is one of Riot Games' VALORANT Tier2 regional tournament that grants a spot in Ascension League and Pacific League.
VCL JP has multiple talents, but one stands out more than the others. Ilya "something" Petrov, VALORANT player for Sengoku Gaming, is arguably one of the most aspiring talents in the region. The talent has set a new record in the VALORANT pro scene, scoring the most kills recorded in one series. The hotshot managed to get 136 Kills in the Lower Round of VCL Japan's play-offs versus FENNEL. However, Sengoku Gaming still lost the game.

Sengoku's something is also the top-rated player in the league, sitting at a whooping 1.42 Rating, 305.5 ACS, 194.8 ADR in average throughout all games.

Ironically, with this record, something managed to break the older record set by himself at 120 Kills versus IGZIST.

With the loss versus FENNEL, Sengoku Gaming is out of the competition and will have to wait for Split 2 of VALORANT Challengers League: Japan. However, with this kind of performance from their talents, Sengoku Gaming is looking to make a statement in the scene and make a long-awaited comeback!
