MIBR manage to get their first VCT Americas win in an upset

MIBR on top!

The South American VALORANT scene has been an interesting scene to watch, the region harnessed the talents and became one of the best regions in VALORANT to date, and it is no surprise that the current top three of VCT Americas are South American teams.

But the same cannot be said about all the South American teams, as few of them are struggling to get their first win in the league, like KRU Esports who lost to MIBR in a massive upset.

The first map, KRU's own map-pick, was Ascent, where the team managed to showcase a strong Ascent defense side despite a mediocre attack side, KRU Esports ended this map on top, with a great performance from DaveeyS.

The second map, MIBR's own map-pick, was Lotus, where all the Brazilian squad stepped out when it mattered and fought tooth and nail to take it to map three. MIBR brought it back on their attack side after being down four rounds going into that half, the second half was nothing but a masterpiece from MIBR, managing to stomp KRU Esports and showcase a lot of firepower and resilience. And with that performance, MIBR closed map two in their favour and pushed to map three.

Map three, and the decider, was Pearl. Both teams went back and forth here, with excellent performances from MIBR's heat and KRU's returning superstar Keznit. The game, being intense as it was, went to overtime where MIBR once and for all ended KRU's attempts and won the series, earning them their first VCT Americas win.
