The North American Challengers League has been a blast so far, featuring the best VALORANT fans have seen in a while, also featuring the best talents left off franchising.
MAD Lions announced their acquisition of the free agent roster Dark Ratio a while ago, as Tracker.GG reported. However, the team started the league season with two losses, not meeting the organization's expectations or the fans'. With that being said, MAD Lions announced that William "Will" Cheng will move to inactive roster and will remain in the team as a substitute.
As of today, we will be moving @willfps to the bench as a substitute player.#challengersNA pic.twitter.com/DFyhfZChzz

The decision to move Will to the inactive roster is a weird one, because Will has an outstanding stats with Dark Ratio's run in the open qualifiers, placing as the fifth-best performer in the open qualifiers (minimum of 200 rounds) falling short to Venture, ZexRow, Brawk and Zeldris. Regardless of the placement, Will's stats on the duelist role have been great as well, securing an average of 266 ACS, 1.43 KD over 433 rounds! According to stats from VLR.GG.
LFT as a free agent had some time to think clearly and this was best course of action for both parties.

Granted, his performance in the first weeks of Challengers didn't come close to his performance in the qualifiers, but according to Will himself, the decision is the best course of action for both parties, referring to the team and himself.
