Fortnite Summer Escape: Dates, Quests, and What to Expect

Time to dive in!

Fortnite's summer event is heating up with new items, map changes, and rewards for players. This year's event is called Fortnite Summer Escape and while little details are available for it, you can expect a lot of the same from previous events. If you're looking to get your feet wet and dive into the upcoming summer event for Fortnite, here's everything we know.

When does the Fortnite Summer Escape Start?

The Summer Escape event begins on July 4 at 9 AM ET. It will run for two weeks and end on the 18. You will have 14 days to explore the island and see exactly what's changed with the update included in the V25.11 update released in June.

What is the Fortnite Summer Escape Event?

The Summer Escape is an annual event that takes place each summer. Last year's No Sweat Summer event changed up the island map, included new skins, and brought in new game types for you to play. Epic Games announced the Summer Escape update was coming in a blog post but didn't hint at much. It wasn't until a post from the official Fortnite Twitter account that more information was learned about the event. Along with the dates, a picture shows an orange background with palm trees, eluding to the fact it takes place in the summer.

While Epic Games did not present any details on what the event will include, leaks have reported what you can expect. Three new game types will be coming with the update including The Quench Quest, Lagoon Party Time, and Make an Entrance. Based on the names alone, it's suggested you'll be spending a lot of time in or around the water. Whether it's quenching your thirst by using some sort of water gun or lounging in the lagoon, you'll more than likely have to complete water-based quests to unlock rewards.

As with previous summer events as well, you can expect to see new outfits, emotes, and rewards as well. More than likely each item will be related to summer in one way or another. Swimsuit season anyone?
