Fortnite Reboot a Friend scheme returns with new rewards

Get your hands on some previously unreleased items and have fun in the process.

Following a successful beta test during December and January, the Reboot a Friend program is back for Fortnite Season 6. Between now and April 26, players can hop in-game with old friends and win some shiny new cosmetics.

How does it work?

Reboot a Friend is part of Epic’s efforts to recapture the love of former Fortnite fans. By teaming up with certain people on your friends list who haven’t logged in for at least 30 days, you can earn a selection of free goodies to add to your locker.

Firstly, head over to the Reboot a Friend website and click the get started button. You will then be prompted to sign in to your Epic Games account.

Once you’re in, you can choose up to 3 friends to Reboot. Playing your first match with each of these friends will score you a bonus 100 points.

From here it’s just a case of grinding and racking up points. After the initial bonus, every game played with one of your Rebooted pals will net you 10 points.

Rewards

All sound good? Well, here’s a look at what loot is on offer:

You can track your progress towards earning the Reboot a Friend Spray, Heartbeat Wrap, Toxic Flash Glider and Plasma Carrot Pickaxe (my personal favorite), via the Reboot a Friend site.

If all of your friends have played in the last 30 days and you have no one to Reboot, you can still take part. Simply invite your friends and play as normal, and you will be able to collect points and unlock the rewards. Make sure to check the website first though, as this will only work if none of your friends are eligible to be Rebooted.
