The Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) is back in 2026 with a completely refreshed competitive structure, the return of Duos, and a massive $10,000,000+ prize pool on the line.
Competition begins on January 31 with the FNCS Trial, an event that seeds duos into their starting Divisions. From there, players climb through Divisional Cups throughout the season, all working toward the crucial milestone: reaching FNCS Division 1.
A New Competitive Pathway for 2026
Reach FNCS Division 1
- Compete in the FNCS Trial (Jan 31) to earn your starting Division.
- Play Divisional Cups to rank up.
- Division 1 grants access to:
- FNCS Major Play-In Stage
- Division 1 Finals prizing
Three Online Majors Per Region
Every region will compete in three Majors across the year. Each Major contains:
- Play-Ins
- Heat Stage
- Last Chance Qualifier
- Major Finals
Major placements determine who moves on to LAN events and ultimately the Global Championship.

Top-placing duos in Major 2 Finals and Major 3 Finals automatically qualify for the Fortnite Global Championship.

FNCS Major 1 Summit (LAN)
The top duos from Major 1 Finals will qualify for the first LAN event of the year: the FNCS Major 1 Summit.
Regional Invitations:
- Europe — 20 duos
- NAC — 13 duos
- NAW — 3 duos
- Brazil — 5 duos
- Asia — 3 duos
- Oceania — 3 duos
- Middle East — 3 duos
From those teams, the top 5 placing duos at the Summit earn the first guaranteed spots at the Fortnite Global Championship.

All Roads Lead to November: The 2026 Fortnite Global Championship
FNCS 2026 closes with the Global Championship LAN in November 2026, where 50 of the world’s best duos will battle across 12 matches over two days. Scoring follows traditional competitive Fortnite weighting of placements + eliminations.
The location of the Global Championship will be revealed later, so fans are encouraged to stay tuned to broadcast updates and Fortnite social channels.
