Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: All you need to know

As the wind sweeps across a beautiful new island, the rising sun illuminates a land steeped in mystery and mystical energy. This season introduces players to an island unlike any before, where its hidden corners are plagued by demons, their chaotic power emanating from ancient masks. These dark forces wreak havoc across the terrain, leaving a path of destruction. To stand against these ancient evils, great heroes must rise. Players are called to embody the spirit of the Ronin. Dive into Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: 鬼 HUNTERS (Demon Hunters), and embark on a journey where courage, strategy, and skill will define your path.

Legends Come to Life

Welcome to the Chapter 6 map, where cherry blossoms fall on soil long-protected by spiritual forces and timeworn magic. It’s here you’ll make a name for yourself as a demon hunter.

Ancient Architecture

Virtue is found in tradition. Vanquish the lesser demons laying siege to the grand structure of the Warrior’s Watch, train for combat duty at Flooded Frogs, or ascend the mountain peak to test your mettle against foes at Shogun’s Solitude.

Modern Marvels

The dense commercial district of Seaport City redefines close quarters, while the Shining Span connects it to neighboring villages such as Canyon Crossing, a cliffside getaway complete with competing bun shops.

Supernatural Secrets

In-between the serene landscapes lies sacred ground such as the overgrown Magic Mosses with its obelisks and underground treasures and the Nightshift Forest, where the sun does not shine. Watching over it all is The Great Turtle, a venerable old soul, searching for its lost partner.

Ready Your Blade

Dispel the spreading darkness by hunting the dangerous Shogun X, a powerful demon warrior that rampages across the island gathering spirit energy. Defeat Shogun X for the Wanderer Medallion, which grants infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting.

Beware of Night Rose, whose spirit has been known to stalk those who enter her domain with surprise attacks from another realm. She drops the Night Rose Medallion on elimination, which makes your weapons reload themselves.

Magic & Gunpowder

Chapter 6 Season 1 introduces new weapon Expertise Quests, where completing combat quests such as damaging or eliminating players with certain weapons will reward XP and unlock the option to purchase a Legendary version of that weapon type from characters on the map.

All traditional weapons in Battle Royale Chapter 6 will be hitscan! Chapter 6 features futuristic firearms such as the Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Fury Assault Rifle, Veiled Precision SMG, Surgefire SMG, Sentinel Pump, Twinfire Auto Shotgun, and Oni Shotgun.

Unsheath the devastatingly precise Typhoon Blade and unleash a flurry of rapid strikes. While wielding it, you'll consume less stamina while sprinting and sprint faster.

Lesser demons around the island will drop their masks of power when defeated. Don the Fire Oni Mask and launch homing flame projectiles for big damage, or teleport with the Void Oni Mask to reposition and outplay opponents!

Sprites, Sprite Shrines, and Boons

Enchanting and resourceful, Sprites are the embodiment of Magic making its return to the Island. These whimsical creatures roam freely and bring distinctive abilities to aid players.

• Air Sprites unleash a powerful wind vortex when thrown, creating an updraft that lets you glide through the air with redeploy. The vortex isn’t just for movement—it can also break builds and send vehicles flying.
• Water Sprites create a healing fountain when thrown, restoring both health and shields to anyone nearby, making them invaluable in intense battles.
• Earth Sprites offer rewards in exchange for the items you feed them, adding a touch of mystery and strategy to your inventory management.

These mystical beings aren’t just adorable companions, they're game-changers.

Discover the hidden potential of the Island by bringing a Sprite to one of the forgotten Sprite Shrines. Doing so revitalizes these ancient sites and rewards you with a powerful Boon.

Boons are rare blessings that can be found in Chests or obtained from defeated bosses. Once picked up, they grant immediate effects and persist even after elimination, offering strategic advantages throughout the match.

• Fire Boon: Increases your weapon reload speed, keeping you ready for combat at all times.
• Void Boon: Reveals the location of nearby players upon eliminating an opponent, giving you a tactical edge.
• Wind Boon: Boosts your movement speed while wielding your Pickaxe, perfect for quick rotations or evasive maneuvers.
• Water Boon: Restores Health and Shields to you and nearby squadmates while swimming, turning waterways into a strategic resource.

Unleash the magic of the Island and turn the tide of battle with these extraordinary powers!

Ride in Style

Calling all speed freaks! Leave enemies in the dust with the new Rogue Bike, a modern motorcycle great for popping wheelies and doing donuts. You can also put pedal to metal in the Void Burn, a sporty high-performance two-door that’ll swiftly get you where you want to be.

New Movement Features

Chapter 6 adds Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble to the core movement of Fortnite! These new movement features will be universally applied across Battle Royale, Reload, and Creator-made islands.

• Ledge Jump

Parkour! Jump while sprinting very close to a ledge, be it a cliff or a rooftop, and you’ll perform a Ledge Jump! Ledge Jumps will send you farther, allowing you to reach places you normally wouldn’t be able to. Hit a Ledge Jump with some speed for some serious hang time.

• Roll Landing

Keep it moving. Chapter 6 introduces Roll Landing, where holding Jump or tapping it just before hitting the ground while falling will cause you to do a barrel roll, restoring some stamina in the process.

• Wall Kick

Jumping against a vertical surface to your side while in the air will allow you to perform a Wall Kick! Wall Kicks will launch you off of walls in the direction of your choosing. Weave Wall Kicks into your traversal and combat maneuvers to keep your foes on their toes. You can mantle, hit a Roll Landing, or even perform another Wall Kick off of a Wall Kick!

• Wall Scramble

Jumping against a vertical surface in front of you will allow for a Wall Scramble! Reach that high ledge by taking a few big strides up a wall. If it’s mantle-able, you’ll mantle up automatically. Press Jump at any point while doing a Wall Scramble to perform a Wall Kick.

Introducing Simple Edit

Simple Edit is a new build setting available in the Settings menu that simplifies the editing process with a single button press. Instead of manually selecting tiles, edits are determined automatically based on the part of the structure you’re looking at, instantly executing the change.

This streamlined system makes editing faster and more accessible, especially for players new to building or those learning the mechanics. While Simple Edit offers a smaller range of edits, the traditional system still provides advanced players with greater flexibility and options.
