Five best Hunter Exotic guns & gear you should get before Beyond Light

Be sure to have these powerful Exotics in your collection when Beyond Light drops.

Beyond Light is coming later in the year, November 10th to be exact, and with its release you want your Guardian to be as powerful as they can be when diving into the new content.

All of these below Exotics have a great chance to drop from the harder difficulties of the week’s Nightfall: The Ordeal so be sure to farm that if you are a high enough level. Even if you already have some of these Exotics, the Nightfall can be a great way to farm higher stat rolls for them.

Here is a short list, in no particular order, of the five most powerful Hunter Exotics that will help you greatly on the frozen moon of Europa.

Celestial Nighthawk

Celestial Nighthawk is the OG damage Exotic for Hunter as it has been around since the early days of Destiny 1. This Exotic converts the Golden Gun Super into a single high powered shot that deals six times the damage of a regular shot. With bottom-tree Gunslinger, a precision hit with a Celestial Nighthawk empowered shot deals an extra 37% more damage than 3 regular precision hits using the same skill-tree.

The beauty of this is that the player is able to activate Golden Gun and quickly fire off the single shot for an overall increase in damage while taking even less time than firing the regular 3 shots. The player is then able to quickly return to whatever DPS option they were using before the Super. Essentially this Exotic gives a huge increase to overall DPS without any kind of setup or drawback. This is the go to Exotic for Hunters if you need something to die fast.

Raiden Flux

Raiden Flux is a Chest Exotic that buffs that overall damage and use time of Arcstrider. Once a kill is gained while the Super is active the buff ‘Synapse Junctions x1’ will be granted to the player which lasts 5 seconds. This buff is able to stack three times which will also refresh the 5 second timer. The first stack grants 13% increased damage with the second and third stacks giving an extra 29% and 46% damage, respectively.

Each stack of Synapse Junctions also increases the duration of Arcstrider to the point where if the player is able to maintain 3 stacks, the total time will be almost doubled over using Arcstrider without Raiden Flux. Overall this is a fantastic PvE oriented Exotic that can be extremely useful at clearing out large areas of enemies.

Orpheus Rig

The Orpheus Rig is a pair of Exotic boots that are Nightstalker exclusive. This Exotic grants a small amount of Super energy for each enemy that is tethered with Shadowshot. Originally, the amount of Super energy that was returned was uncapped so if enough enemies were tethered the player was able to completely regenerate their Super with a single Shadowshot use.

At the launch of Season 10 Orpheus Rig was significantly nerfed and now the max amount of Super energy that can be returned is capped at 50%. Even though this nerf hits hard it is still an immediate 50% return of Super energy. For a lot of groups running Raids and Master/Grandmaster Nightfalls this Exotic, along with a skill Nightstalker, is considered mandatory as it simply allows a much higher uptime on the Shadowshot Super.

Wormhusk Crown

Wormhusk Crown is an Exotic Helmet for Hunters that can essentially act as a panic button when the player finds themselves in a tricky situation. When the Hunter dodge is activated, Wormhusk Crown grants the player with a small amount of health and shields. This might not seem that impactful but the amount of shields granted is significant enough to be the difference between life and death. In PvE this can mean the difference between killing the Strike boss or dying. In PvP this can mean the difference between winning a 1v2 gunfight or losing one.

Wormhusk Crown can be combined with the invisibility granted by the Nightstalker Dodge ability, along with high Mobility for the lower Dodge cooldown, to create an extremely slippery Guardian that is almost impossible to take down.

St0mp-EE5

St0mp-EE5 are an interesting PvP Exotic as their usefulness relies entirely on the player’s skill and their playstyle. This Exotic is extremely simple as it gives a slight buff to sprint speed, slide distance and jump height and so it can also be used with any subclass.

There really isnt a whole lot to say about this Exotic except if you are the type of PvP player to be constantly moving around the map, looking for flanks, or roaming for objectives than St0mp-EE5 can make a world of difference to your overall effectiveness in the match.
