Caliber is a New Tactical Shooter Coming on Steam

Russian software developer, 1C Game Studios is releasing its online tactical shooter named Caliber on Steam. The company is planning to release the game in the second quarter of 2023.

The team of developers are extremely active in making the game a success with constant social media posts and updates to the title.

Roadmap for Caliber

The development team has shared a roadmap for the game. The game’s release in Q2 will come with a seasonal game mode, new operator collection - BOPE, an event called Victory Day, and a Battle Pass to celebrate the occasion.

The next quarter will offer more developmental features. The game will expand its support for gamepads, it will feature a custom lobby, new PvPvE modes, and a new Theatre of War map. Caliber will also offer new Spectator Mode and 3D scopes for weapons.

Players can expect more seasonal events and the addition of clan mechanics in Q4. Features like player statistics and new operator collection are also in line for the year.

About Caliber

Caliber is a team-based game releasing on a freemium model. It’s a third-person shooter involving special forces from different parts of the world.

1C Game Studios has set the gameplay around a team of four members each having a specific role. We have Assault, Support, Medic, and Marksman. The names are self explanatory, but they have some twists. The Assault is the main legs of the team. Flanking, running and killing the enemy in their tracks. While most players would confuse a Support with someone having utilities and aids, it has a different role. The Support wears heavy armor and creates space for the team by distracting the enemy. The Medic will carry healing supplies and aid the team members. Last but not the least, a Marksman will provide cover and long-range assistance.

Caliber also features multiple game modes and maps.
