Multiple professional VALORANT gamers and top streamers have complained of an emerging issue that's ruining the VALORANT ranked experienced, and it is an issue we all know about.
VALORANT ranked is one that's criticized for its structure, filled with issues from high-ranked accounts being sold, to trolling, to AFK-ing and throwing in general, and now on top of that, crypto-betting.

People betting on the result of famous streamers or professional esports participants matches is not new, in fact, multiple games suffer from this issue: CSGO, League of Legends etc... If it's a game with decent viewership and a competitive structure, there's betting involved.
There's a huge crypto betting and throwing issue in Valorant right now. With sites allowing players to bet on or against streamers... pic.twitter.com/mvqRV1isqr

Multiple crypto-betting sites allegedly allow users to place bets on top streamers games, this allows to whoever find themselves in these streamers' games to place a bet on the match. The bet-placer will either bet on the streamer losing the game if is on the same team, or on the streamer winning the game if on the opposite team, regardless of which side, the same behaviors are used to make sure the bet is won. These gamblers will troll, throw and AFK on purpose to make these bets go through (i.e. matchfixing).
If there is a crypto bettor on the other team, can we all please agree to throw the game? I want them to lose every cent and be on the street begging me for a sandwich. Thanks.

This throwing situation in ranked is actually getting ridiculous

If the alleged crypto-betting continues to occur on the ranked ladder, multiple aspiring talents and other individuals will desert the esports dream and settle for gambling.
Riot Games needs to address this as soon as possible and make a safe ranked experience for the VALORANT community.
