Cloud9 set to replace Vanity on the starting roster according to report

The move comes days after releasing their superstart Yay.

With the end of the largest international event of the current season, VCT LOCK//IN, the mid-season transfer window has started.

After releasing their superstar earlier a week ago, the North American organization CLOUD9 is set to move their in-game leader to the inactive roster, searching for new options, according to a report.

Anthony "Vanity" Malaspina, C9's in-game leader, will not compete under the organization's active roster moving forward as the organization explores their options ahead of the VCT Americas League, according to a report by journalist Max Katz.

This isn't a first for the North American organization, the org released their superstar Jaccob "Yay" Whiteaker just a week ago, due to role issues. And now, the org is benching their longest standing member and in-game leader.

The moves could be a consequence of bad results in officials and poor performance, as the team failed to secure their first title against 100T in Red Bull Home Ground, and then lost to DRX in second round of VCT LOCK//IN.
