Whether you’re brand-new to Valorant or have been playing since the beta, everyone wants to rank up. Your choice of Agent is very important, and whilst you can win with anyone, there are some top dogs at the moment.
Sage
Sentinel
If you see yourself as a more defensive, tactical player, rather than someone who just charges out into the chaos, then Sage may be for you.
You can use her abilities to lock down large areas of the map and even to stall the entire enemy team. This makes Sage incredibly powerful and allows you to control the pacing of the round.

Let’s not forget that her ultimate is arguably the strongest in the game, resurrecting a fallen teammate can completely swing momentum in your favor. If you do become a Sage main, just remember not to waste your healing skills.
Brimstone
Controller
When you play as Brimstone you can’t help but feel like a boss. Commanding the battlefield from afar, or getting up close and personal, your utility is everything.
In a similar way to Sage, Brimstone can slow down enemies for an insane amount of time. His smokes cover a massive area, blocking vision and cutting off dangerous lines of sight.

Brimstone’s abilities are easy to get the hang of, and will have you climbing the ranks in no time.
Breach
Initiator
Make way, make way! Breach is at the heart of any well-coordinated push.
Breach has some of the most powerful abilities in the game when it comes to forcing opponents to drop back. By clearing out space for his team to move into, he plays a vital role in any Spike plant or retake.

It is worth noting than more so than with the other Agents, Breach does require a lot of communication from your squad. Therefore if you’re solo-queuing as a less experienced player, he will take some getting used to.
