Fortnite 25.30 Patch Notes: Jujutsu Kaisen Crossover, New Techniques, Bug Fixes & More

Unleash your inner Sorcerer!

Fortnite v25.30 brings a new anime crossover with Jujutsu Kaisen to Chapter 4 Season 3. This event brings you new skins, quests, and powers inspired by the popular anime and manga series. You can unleash your inner sorcerer by collecting Cursed Llamas and using their abilities to fight your enemies.

The patch notes for this week’s update are not very extensive, but they reveal some of the new features and changes that Epic has introduced. You can find the full patch notes for Fortnite v25.30 below.

Fortnite V25.30 Official Patch Notes

Break The Curse

Fortnite invites you to join the Jujutsu Kaisen crossover event, where you can use the power of cursed energy to fight your way to victory. The event, called Break the Curse!, lasts until August 25, 2023, at 2 AM ET. You can find Cursed Llamas around the island and destroy them to learn different cursed techniques.

You can also complete Quests based on the jujutsu sorcerer grades and earn free rewards, such as the Shadow Play: Toad Emote. If you want more rewards, you can buy the Premium Reward Track upgrade and get the Yuji Itadori Outfit, along with other cosmetics. (You will also get the Streetwear Yuji Itadori Outfit when you buy the upgrade.)

Don’t miss the Jujutsu Kaisen Cup on August 11, where you can compete for a chance to win a special Spray and Emoticons inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen.

Learn From Llamas: Cursed Techniques

The island is infested with Cursed Llamas that contain powerful cursed techniques. If you break one of them, you will get two techniques to use against your opponents: Straw Doll Technique, which lets you control a puppet and inflict damage on your target, and Hollow Technique: Purple, which creates a destructive blast of cursed energy.

Break The Curse Quests

You can earn Cursed Energy by completing Break the Curse! Quests, which involve fighting on the island or playing in creative mode. The more Cursed Energy you collect, the more rewards you can unlock.

You can see your progress and rewards on the Break the Curse! tab in the Lobby. There are two types of rewards: free and premium. The free rewards include 11 items, such as the Shadow Play: Toad Emote.

The premium rewards require you to buy the Premium Reward Track upgrade for 1,000 V-Bucks. This will give you 11 extra items, such as the Yuji Itadori Outfits. You will get the Streetwear Yuji Itadori Outfit right away when you buy the upgrade, and the Jujutsu High Yuji Itadori Outfit when you finish the track.

Go Grade Quests

The Break the Curse! Quests start at the Grade 4 level of Jujutsu High standards, and will progress up to the Special Grade level! Each grade level’s Quests will go live sequentially and be available until August 25 at 2 AM ET:

  • The Grade 4 Quests are live starting now.
  • The Grade 3 Quests go live August 10 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Grade 2 Quests go live August 15 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Grade 1 Quests and Special Grade Quests go live August 17 at 9 AM ET.

Upon completing a certain number of Quests in a grade, you’ll receive the token for that grade. Get five tokens to unlock the Nue Glider!

Please note that the Break the Curse! free reward track items, Premium Reward Track upgrade items, and Nue Glider are not exclusive to Break the Curse!, and they may become purchasable in the Item Shop at a later date.

Jujutsu High Assembly: Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo in the Item Shop

Yuji Itadori’s peers — and teacher — join him in Fortnite. Three new Outfits are available in the Item Shop starting now!
