Five New Maps in Call of Duty Season 5

All new playgrounds in Season 5 of COD.

The Season 5 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will add new maps to shuffle things up for the players. The new maps will include core 6v6 and Gunfight/Faceoff maps. Let’s take a closer look and see what you can expect from these fresh additions.

Five Maps in Call of Duty Season 5

Strike Map: One of the central maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Strike is a classic. Season 5 will brings Strike along with Shipment and Showdown. The map will see all the enhancements made by the latest Infinity Ward engine and technology. It’s a great map for sniper fights, but players can also use assault rifles in the buildings.

Lounge Map: Coming at launch, they designed Lounge for Gunfight and other small-squad modes. Players can ascend the stairs or scale the balcony to gain a vantage point overlooking the bustling main chamber. The map also has some secret safe spots when the center becomes too intense.

As the map is small, players need to be cautious at every corner, demanding constant vigilance. Employment of strategic movement, making the best use of cover can make a difference.

Canal: Another map coming at launch, the Canal is set as a Gunfight map. Located near Vondel, Canal introduces underground cellars beneath the cobblestone streets above, setting the stage for intense confrontations between the canal bridges. Players will face close-quarter combat, but will also get some space compared to other Gunfight maps.

DRC – Zone 1: One of the Core maps coming during mid-season, the Zone within the DRC research campus is an exciting entry. Set in the vicinity of the Visitor Center, this map showcases the technological marvels that the DRC has contributed to the world. Players will get a glimpse behind the scenes, exploring the inner workings of the facility, including Research and Development, shipping and receiving areas, and select laboratories.

The map offers fast-paced combat with shortcuts, outflanking opportunities, and non-stop engagement.

Punta Mar: Coming at launch, the Punta Mar Core map is a fresh map in the pool. It is a once-thriving tourist destination in Las Almas, perched atop a stunning South American shoreline.

Your battles will unfold on the hilly terrain, requiring strategic movement through shops, rooftops, and deserted residences to dominate the area centered around a cobblestone street.

With minimal respite between encounters, players need to stay vigilant near shop windows for enemy Operators. The map provides a thrilling experience to the players.
