Exciting Updates in Rainbow Six Siege: Y8S2.1 Patch Notes Unveiled

Updates and bug fixes are afoot.

Ubisoft has just released the Y8S2.1 patch notes, and we're here to break down all the juicy details for you. First things first, let's talk about the patch size. For Ubisoft Connect users, the download size is 0.92 GB. Steam users will need 0.69 GB of space, while Xbox One and Xbox Series X users will need 1.00 GB and 1.23 GB respectively. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users, you're looking at 1.13 GB and 1.10 GB respectively.

Now, let's dive into the features. The new patch introduces a custom game team mixer. This is a nifty new button added to allow hosts in custom online games to randomize teams. Sounds like a fun way to shake things up, doesn't it?

But that's not all. The patch also brings a slew of bug fixes to improve your gameplay experience. Remember how Grim was missing from the Operators roster in the Golden Gun game mode? Well, he's back! Also, the issue with the Dummy Health option not affecting newly spawned dummies has been fixed.

There are also fixes for terrain destruction not being reproduced when players join a match in progress, and players getting trapped when spawning at 1F Vending Stair of the Nighthaven map. And let's not forget the FPS drops when Solis' SPEC-IO Electro Sensor scans Sens' R.O.U. Projector System. That's been taken care of too.

The patch also addresses several level design issues. For instance, defenders will no longer be detected outside when navigating in B Old Office of the Villa map. Also, the unfair line of sight that could be gained using Azami's Kiba Barrier to vault onto a table at 2F Yellow Stairs of the Consulate map has been fixed.

Audio issues have not been overlooked. The patch fixes missing SFX when hitting Azami's Kiba Barrier with a shield, and multiple voice lines playing when Fenrir's F-NATT Dread Mine is thrown, among others.

Operator-specific issues, such as Ace's S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher not being able to break wooden floors with carpet over it, have also been addressed.

Finally, the patch brings improvements to the user experience. Multiple strings of text that were missing from the Battle Pass progression tab have been added, and issues with stick input when rotating the camera in match replay not reflecting the input by the user have been fixed.
