Best Agents to Play on Split

Here are the best VALORANT agents to pick on Split

Split is one of the original maps from VALORANT's beta. Set in a futuristic urban area, it features different sections and multiple vertical levels. The map made its return to VALORANT official map-rotation with the start of Episode Six with new improvements and features that made it help the attacking side. Split can be a difficult map, but with the proper agent composition, it should be a piece of cake. Here are the best agents to use on Split to guarantee a win.

Raze

According to Tracker's Global Agent Usage and Stats, Raze is an A Tier agent in Split, with over 50% win rate, and that's for a reason. Split has a lot of corners and cubbies to clear out on both defense and attack, which makes her Pain Shells (E) the most effective for that purpose. And although her Boom Bot (E) has been nerfed, it is still useful in making space and clearing close areas in executes and retakes. In addition, her Blast Packs (Q) can create a massive advantage and space for allies to take sites and retake them, and although it is a bit tedious to learn Raze's Blast Packs boosts, these boosts will make the difference. However, if Blast Packs are too difficult to learn, simple boosts to elevated areas in Split, which Split has tons of, will be useful as well to catch enemies off guard. Raze's Ultimate Showstopper (X) is a rocket launcher that can obliterate enemies, and whenever enemies hear "Fire in the hole", it is over for them.

Boom Bot (E) to clear out B Main Split:

Jett

Jett has been considered an unorthodox pick on Split. However, with the recent changes to the map, her abilities have become essential in exploiting the new changes of the map. Her Updraft (Q) allows her to reach elevated positions, giving her a distinct advantage against enemies, and her Tailwind Dash (E) maximizes map control and surprises opponents. Jett's Cloudburst smokes (C) can be used to stop enemies from advancing towards a site, or can be used combined with a Tailwind Dash (E) to dash towards a spot, getting more space for allies to take and execute on a site. Raze and Jett can be a dangerous combination in this map, with both agents drawing attention and making space, it will be easier to attack, and even easier to hold sites on defense. In addition, Jett can be equipped with an Operator (Sniper) and left alone to hold a site, alone, giving massive advantage and info. Although an overlooked option on Split, Jett has now become a go-to choice.

Omen

Omen is the best controller for Split. His Dark Covers Smokes (E) are essential on Split. On defense, his smokes can be used to close off areas and slow down executes from enemies. On attack, his smokes can be used to close off LoS (Line of Sight) and make executes easier, and secure massive areas and map control. His Shroudded Step teleport (C) can be used to cross dangerous areas of the map, and can be useful against Sentinels class, Omen can just teleport around their utilities and lurk or make a surprising entrance to sites. In addition, since this map is considered the smallest, it makes Omen's Ultimate (X) a perfect choice to take space and flank enemies on both sides.

Killjoy

This Sentinel can be the difference maker on Split, and for good reason. KJ's utilities are harder to break now, and it is difficult to go up against a good KJ. Due to Split's structure, KJ can provide a massive advantage to teams, having tons of options on where to place Turret, Nanoswarm and other utilities. Here are some examples.

Skye

Skye can be super useful on Split, and according to Tracker's Global Agent Usage and Stats, Skye is the most used initiator on this map. Her Guiding Light flashes (E) can be used to either execute in a comfortable fashion on attack, or to make retakes easier on defense. Combined with Omen smokes, Skye utilities can be difficult to counter, which creates a massive advantage for those who use her on Split. And since Split is known for having multiple corners and cubbies, her Trailblazer (Q) can be effective in clearing the corners and gathering information about the whereabouts of enemies and stop them from hiding in corners with a shotgun. In addition, this agent has one of the most demanded abilities: Healing! Regrowth (C) can be used to heal allies and make sure that allies are in good shape. Her ultimate, Seekers (X), are an upgrade to her Trailblazer, an important util to use for information-gathering. Here are some flashes to catch enemies off guard.
